  • 4 chops Bone-in Pork Chops (about 1-inch thick)
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 cup Barbecue Sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • for garnish Fresh Parsley, Chopped

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and pat pork chops dry with paper towels. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear pork chops for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown, then transfer skillet to the oven.
  3. After 10 minutes, brush pork chops with barbecue sauce and sprinkle brown sugar on top. Continue baking for another 10-15 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  4. Remove pork chops from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before garnishing with fresh parsley.
