- Preheat your oven to 375°F and pat the pork chops dry with paper towels.
- Season both sides of the pork chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- Let the chops sit for 10 minutes to let the flavors penetrate the meat.
- Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and sear each side of the pork chops for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Transfer the skillet with the pork chops directly to the oven.
- Bake the pork chops for 15-20 minutes, brushing half of the barbecue sauce onto the chops halfway through.
- Once the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F, remove them from the oven.
- Brush the remaining barbecue sauce on top and let the chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes
Feel free to substitute the barbecue sauce with a homemade version using ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce.
You can use boneless pork chops but adjust the cooking time to avoid overcooking.
Consider adding a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to the barbecue sauce for an extra zing.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven at 300°F to maintain moisture.
Experiment with different sauces such as honey mustard or teriyaki for variety!
