Method
 

  1. If using fresh chicken, you can skip thawing. If frozen, adjust the cooking time as necessary.
  2. Sauté onions or garlic in the Instant Pot using the sauté function (optional).
  3. Place chicken in the Instant Pot.
  4. Pour barbecue sauce over the chicken.
  5. Add chicken broth or water to the pot.
  6. Close the lid and ensure the valve is set to sealing.
  7. Cook on high pressure for 8-10 minutes for fresh chicken or 12-15 minutes for frozen chicken.
  8. Allow the pressure to release naturally for moisture retention.
  9. Shred the chicken in the pot using two forks, mixing it with the sauce.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
