  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup pickle relish
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • to garnish lettuce, shredded
  • to garnish tomato slices

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked.
  2. Add the diced onion to the skillet and sauté until softened.
  3. Stir in the pickle relish, ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste and allow the mixture to simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Toast the hamburger buns lightly in a separate pan.
  6. Divide the beef mixture among the bottom halves of the buns.
  7. Top each with a slice of American cheese.
  8. Add shredded lettuce and tomato slices, then cover with the top halves of the buns.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!
