Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced smoked brisket leftover or store-bought
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Nonstick Skillet
  • Spatula
  • Cheese Grater if shredding fresh cheese
  • Skillet or Griddle for cooking the sandwich
  • Cheese Grater if shredding cheese

Method
 

  1. Gather all your ingredients and prep the brisket and cheese.
  2. Spread softened butter on one side of each bread slice.
  3. Lay two slices of bread butter-side down on a clean surface and sprinkle half the cheese on each slice.
  4. Layer the brisket on top of the cheese, then finish with the remaining cheese.
  5. Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium-low heat and place the sandwich in the pan.
  7. Cook undisturbed for about 3-4 minutes, then flip to cook the other side until golden-brown and cheese is melted.
