  • a pinch of Salt Salt
  • 3/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Pure Vanilla Extract

Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine cold heavy cream and whole milk.
  2. Add sugar and a pinch of salt to the mixture.
  3. Pour in the vanilla extract and stir gently until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  5. Prepare the ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  6. Pour the chilled mixture into the ice cream maker and churn for 20-30 minutes until it reaches soft-serve consistency.
  7. Transfer the churned ice cream to a freezer-safe container and smooth the top.
  8. Press parchment paper onto the surface of the ice cream and seal with a lid.
  9. Freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or ideally overnight, to firm up.
