Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz linguine or fettuccine
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for garnish Chopped parsley

Method
 

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted water until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat; add shrimp and sausage with Cajun seasoning, cooking for 5-7 minutes until shrimp are pink and sausage is browned.
  3. Remove shrimp and sausage; add chopped onion, garlic, and bell peppers to the skillet, sautéing for 4-5 minutes until tender.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine and bring to a simmer.
  5. Combine the cooked pasta, shrimp, and sausage back into the skillet, stirring to coat everything with the creamy sauce.
  6. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese, seasoning with salt and pepper; mix well.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
