Ingredients
  

  • 2 tubes refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 450 g cooked chicken or turkey ham, thinly sliced
  • 8 cheddar cheese sticks cheddar cheese sticks
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion or onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds

  • Small bowl and whisk (or fork) for the glaze

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and prepare a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet.
  2. Unroll both tubes of crescent dough and cut each triangle in half lengthwise to make 16 long triangles.
  3. Place a slice or two of ham on each piece of dough, then place a cheese stick at the wider end.
  4. Fold the two long sides of the dough over the cheese stick, then roll it up tightly, placing it seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, dried onion, and poppy seeds to make the glaze.
  6. Brush the glaze generously over each assembled stick, then bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let cool for 1-2 minutes, then transfer to a serving platter and enjoy warm.
