Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe bananas yellow with some spots
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Forks for dipping

Method
 

  1. Peel and slice bananas into 1-inch thick coins.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lay banana pieces in a single layer.
  3. Freeze the banana pieces for 1 hour.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and coconut oil.
  5. Microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring well after each burst until melted and smooth.
  6. Remove frozen banana pieces from the freezer.
  7. Using a fork, dip each banana slice into the melted chocolate, coating evenly.
  8. Quickly add desired toppings while the chocolate is still wet.
  9. Place each coated banana bite back on the parchment-lined tray.
  10. Freeze for at least 30 minutes until the chocolate shell hardens.
