  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20 for best flavor
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 6 ounces Velveeta cheese cubed
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp crushed red pepper flakes optional
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • q.s. Fresh parsley or basil chopped, optional for garnish

Method
 

  1. Fill a large pot with water, add salt, and bring to a rolling boil. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside (do not rinse).
  2. Heat olive oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Brown the ground beef until fully cooked.
  3. Add garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to the skillet with the beef; stir well.
  4. Pour in the marinara sauce and stir to combine with the beef mixture.
  5. Add Velveeta cheese and mozzarella cheese to the skillet. Stir until the cheeses are melted and the sauce is creamy.
  6. Mix in the cooked spaghetti, ensuring all noodles are well-coated in the sauce.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley or basil if desired.
