Ingredients
  

  • 200 g tender chicken breast, diced
  • 2 halal sausages, sliced and grilled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 200 g pasta penne or fusilli
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • optional splash of milk or cream for extra creaminess

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Skillet or frying pan
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Cheese grater if using block cheese
  • Colander

Method
 

  1. Fill a large pot with water, add a pinch of salt, and bring it to a boil. Add your pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain the water and set the pasta aside.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, and cook the sliced halal sausages until browned and crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add more olive oil if needed, then add diced chicken. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until golden and fully cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add the cooked pasta, grilled sausages, and chicken back into the skillet. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top and stir gently until melted. If desired, add a splash of milk or cream for extra creaminess.
