Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 4 tbsp butter softened
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan grated
  • 1 tbsp parsley chopped
  • 1 pound shrimp peeled
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese shredded

  • Baking sheet

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, grated Parmesan, and chopped parsley.
  3. Slice the French bread loaf in half lengthwise and spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on each cut side.
  4. Place the bread halves on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. While the bread bakes, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Pat the shrimp dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  7. Add the seasoned shrimp to the hot skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  8. Take one half of baked garlic bread, layer the cooked shrimp on it, and top with shredded Monterey Jack cheese.
  9. Place the other half of the bread on top, garlic-butter-side in, and press down gently.
  10. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a small pat of butter.
  11. Grill the sandwich for 3-4 minutes per side until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted.

Notes
