Ingredients
  

  • 1 box yellow cake mix 15.25 oz
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup pineapple juice for syrup
  • 4 tbsp. melted butter hot

  • 9x13 inch baking pan

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, vegetable oil, 3/4 cup pineapple juice, and eggs, and mix for about 2 minutes.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  4. Bake for 28 to 32 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. While the cake cools, whisk together powdered sugar and 3/4 cup pineapple juice, then add hot melted butter and mix until smooth.
  6. Poke holes all over the warm cake with a fork, then pour 2/3 of the syrup evenly over the cake and let it soak for 15 minutes.
  7. Invert the cake onto a serving platter, pour the remaining syrup over the top, and serve.
