Ingredients
  

  • 2 racks Baby Back Ribs
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 1 cup Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Molasses
  • 1 1/2 tsp Liquid Smoke
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Onion Powder

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Whisk or mixing spoon
  • Baking sheet
  • Heavy-duty aluminum foil
  • Basting or pastry brush
  • Tongs
  • Sharp knife

Method
 

  1. Combine ketchup, red wine vinegar, brown sugar, molasses, liquid smoke, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in a medium saucepan and whisk well.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for about 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 250°F.
  4. Remove the silver skin from the ribs and pat them dry.
  5. Brush a generous layer of the warm sauce on both sides of the ribs.
  6. Wrap each rack in heavy-duty aluminum foil, sealing tightly.
  7. Place the foil packets on a baking sheet and bake for 2 to 3 hours.
  8. Open the foil packets carefully and preheat the broiler.
  9. Transfer the ribs to a broiler-safe pan, brush with more sauce, and broil for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  10. Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving with warm sauce on the side.
