  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 pound pasta penne, fettuccine, or your favorite
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley for garnish
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • pinch red pepper flakes optional

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Large pot
  • Colander
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Wooden spoon

Method

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned (5-7 minutes); drain excess grease and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Set aside.
  2. Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan, mozzarella, and Italian seasoning until cheeses melt and sauce becomes smooth.
  5. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce evenly.
  6. Gently fold in the cooked ground beef until well distributed.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken. You can also use Greek yogurt in place of heavy cream.
To enhance flavor, add a splash of balsamic vinegar to the beef while browning.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat with a splash of cream to keep it creamy.
This recipe is versatile; feel free to add vegetables like sautéed zucchini or bell peppers for extra nutrition.
