Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices sandwich bread white, wheat, or sourdough
  • 2 slices turkey breast deli kind
  • 4 slices mozzarella or Emmental cheese
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese regular or herby
  • 1 pinch dried oregano
  • to taste butter for toasting

Equipment

  • Non-stick skillet or griddle
  • Flexible spatula
  • Butter knife
  • Cutting board

Method
 

  1. Spread cream cheese evenly on one slice of bread, reaching the edges.
  2. Sprinkle the oregano over the cream cheese.
  3. Layer two slices of cheese on top of the cream cheese.
  4. Add turkey slices on top of the cheese and fold if necessary.
  5. Top with the remaining two slices of cheese.
  6. Place the second slice of bread on top and press lightly.
  7. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and add butter.
  8. Cook the sandwich for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Flip the sandwich, adding more butter if needed, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until both sides are crisp and cheese is melted.
  10. Optional: Cover the skillet with a lid for the last minute of cooking for extra melting.
