Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
  • 1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies undrained (10 oz)
  • 1 package cream cheese softened (8 oz)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk (whole or 2%)
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, crumble and brown the ground beef until no longer pink; drain excess fat.
  2. Reduce heat to medium-low and add the can of diced tomatoes with juices, cream cheese, and milk; stir continuously until the mixture is smooth.
  3. Sprinkle in the shredded cheddar cheese, chili powder, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper; keep stirring until the cheese is melted and the dip thickens.
  4. Serve the dip warm in a bowl or directly from the skillet alongside tortilla chips.
