Ingredients
  

  • 1 baguette standard size
  • 150 g shredded cheese mozzarella, cheddar, or a blend
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 100 g unsalted butter softened
  • 1 bunch fresh parsley
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • optional red pepper flakes for a kick

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves, then combine with butter, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
  3. Finely chop the fresh parsley and stir into the butter mixture until well mixed.
  4. Slice the baguette about 1 inch thick, stopping just before cutting through the bottom crust.
  5. Spread the garlic butter generously between each slice and tuck cheese into each crevice.
  6. Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes, then uncover and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Let the bread rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.
