Ingredients
  

  • 2 ripe avocados, peeled and mashed
  • 1 lime Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • 1 cup salsa, medium chunky style
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup chopped lettuce (iceberg or romaine)
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup sliced black olives
  • ½ cup chopped green onions
  • for serving Tortilla chips

Equipment

  • Medium mixing bowl
  • Fork for mashing
  • Spoon for spreading
  • 9x9 inch dish or similar-sized shallow serving platter
  • Cutting board and knife

Method
 

  1. In a medium bowl, mash the avocados with lime juice, garlic, and salt until mostly smooth.
  2. Spread the guacamole layer evenly in a clear glass dish or serving platter.
  3. In another bowl, mix sour cream with taco seasoning until well combined, then spread over the guacamole layer.
  4. Spoon the salsa over the sour cream layer and gently spread it.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the salsa.
  6. Scatter the chopped lettuce over the cheese layer.
  7. Top with diced tomatoes, sliced black olives, and chopped green onions for the final layer.
  8. Serve with sturdy tortilla chips for dipping.
