Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, divided
  • 450 g sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 140 g shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 cups beef or vegetable broth
  • 200 g ramen noodles (fresh or dried)
  • q.s. Soy sauce, to taste
  • q.s. Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • q.s. Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Method
 

  1. Slice the beef into thin strips; mince garlic and ginger; clean and slice mushrooms.
  2. Heat half of the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat; add garlic and ginger, stirring constantly to avoid burning.
  3. Add the remaining olive oil to the pot; toss in the sliced mushrooms and cook until golden and fragrant.
  4. Add beef slices; stir until browned but still juicy.
  5. Pour in the broth and bring to a gentle simmer; season with soy sauce to taste.
  6. Cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions; drain well.
  7. Divide the cooked noodles into bowls; ladle hot broth and beef mixture over noodles; top with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
