  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon pieces (or turkey bacon)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

Equipment

  • Whisk
  • Spatula
  • 9x13-inch baking dish

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray, butter, or oil.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and press it into the bottom and slightly up the sides of the baking dish, pinching seams together.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and garlic powder until fully combined and pale yellow.
  4. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the dough.
  5. Pour the egg mixture slowly over the cheese-covered dough, making sure to distribute it evenly.

Notes

This casserole can be assembled the night before and baked in the morning for convenience.
Feel free to swap out ingredients based on what you have: try different cheeses, add veggies, or use different meats as per preference.
For leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days, reheating in the oven for the best texture.
To prevent a soggy crust, consider pre-baking the crescent dough for a few minutes before adding the fillings.
