- Scrub the ginger under running water and slice it into thin rounds.
 - Roll the lemon on the counter to loosen the juices, cut it in half, and squeeze the juice into a small bowl, straining out any seeds.
 - In a mug, add the sliced ginger and pour in the warm water; let it steep for about 5 minutes.
 - Stir in the honey until it dissolves completely, then add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and mix well.
 - Taste and adjust the honey or lemon as needed. If desired, add ice cubes to chill the drink.
