Ingredients
  

  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger
  • 1 medium lemon
  • 1 tablespoon honey adjust to taste
  • 1 cup warm water
  • ice cubes (optional)

Method
 

  1. Scrub the ginger under running water and slice it into thin rounds.
  2. Roll the lemon on the counter to loosen the juices, cut it in half, and squeeze the juice into a small bowl, straining out any seeds.
  3. In a mug, add the sliced ginger and pour in the warm water; let it steep for about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the honey until it dissolves completely, then add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and mix well.
  5. Taste and adjust the honey or lemon as needed. If desired, add ice cubes to chill the drink.
