  • 12 large shrimp or jumbo prawns cleaned but with heads and shells intact
  • 100 g butter softened
  • 4 cloves garlic finely minced
  • 1 small bunch fresh parsley chopped
  • 0.5 unit lemon juice of half
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • a drizzle olive oil
  • as needed lemon wedges for serving

Method
 

  1. Start by cleaning your shrimp and removing the veins while keeping the heads and shells attached.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Brush each shrimp generously with the garlic butter mixture before placing them on the grill.
  5. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  6. Transfer the grilled shrimp to a serving platter, spoon remaining garlic butter over the top, and garnish with parsley and lemon wedges.
