Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • to taste garlic powder
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced (divided)
  • to taste sliced tomatoes
  • to taste lettuce leaves
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 4 buns hamburger, preferably brioche

Method
 

  1. Season the ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then form it into 4 thin patties.
  2. Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat, add the patties, and cook for about 3 minutes on each side, adding cheese in the last minute to melt.
  3. In a separate skillet, melt butter, add sliced onions, and cook until soft and golden, then add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to prepare garlic mayo.
  5. Toast the buns, spread garlic mayo on both halves, and assemble with lettuce, tomato slices, beef patties with cheese, caramelized onions, and more garlic mayo.
