Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices stale brioche, country bread, or baguette
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 250 ml milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar

Method
 

  1. In a shallow bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them until smooth, then add milk, sugar, and vanilla sugar, and mix well.
  2. Dunk each slice of bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides for about 10 seconds, then remove.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a knob of butter.
  4. Once the butter melts and foams, place the soaked bread slices in the pan.
  5. Cook each side for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy at the edges.
