Method
- Start by slicing your chicken breasts into thin, even strips and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Sprinkle both sides generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and oregano. Let the seasoned chicken sit for 10 minutes.
- Heat a nonstick skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat, or preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) with a wire rack on a baking sheet.
- Drizzle some olive oil onto the heated surface to prevent sticking.
- Cook the chicken strips undisturbed for 3–4 minutes per side on the stovetop, or bake for 15–20 minutes in the oven, flipping halfway.
- Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness; chicken should be at 165°F (74°C).
- Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes
Don't skip the resting time after cooking for juicy results. Feel free to double the batch for a crowd or meal prep. Experiment with different spices and marinades to customize the flavor to your liking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat gently in a skillet to retain moisture, avoiding the microwave if possible. Enjoy these strips in salads, wraps, or on their own!
