- In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, garam masala, turmeric, cayenne, paprika, cumin, and salt. Add the chicken and toss until coated. Let sit for at least 20 minutes or overnight.
- Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Grill marinated chicken for 2-4 minutes per side until golden brown and slightly charred. Remove and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt butter and sauté onions for 5-7 minutes until soft and translucent. Stir in chili, garlic, ginger, and spices.
- Add crushed tomatoes and grilled chicken to the skillet. Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in cream (or coconut milk), fenugreek leaves, and garam masala. Season with salt to taste and simmer for another 2 minutes.
