Ingredients
  

  • 1 box yellow cake mix 15.25 ounces
  • 3 large eggs divided use
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • 1 package cream cheese 8-ounce, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups powdered sugar plus more for dusting

  • 9x13 inch baking pan
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13 inch baking pan with butter, oil, or non-stick spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the yellow cake mix, 1 egg, and melted butter until a thick dough forms, and press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth, then add the 2 remaining eggs and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  4. Gradually add the powdered sugar to the cream cheese mixture, mixing on low speed until smooth and lump-free.
  5. Pour the creamy filling over the crust, spreading it evenly, and bake for 40 to 45 minutes until the edges are golden and the center is slightly jiggly.
  6. Let the cake cool completely in the pan on a wire rack, dust with powdered sugar, cut into squares, and serve.
