Ingredients
  

  • 6 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 packet Lipton Onion Soup mix
  • cup melted butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • ½ cup chicken broth or water
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for greasing Cooking spray or butter

Method
 

  1. Grease the inside of your slow cooker with cooking spray or butter.
  2. Wash and peel the potatoes, then slice them thinly.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the sliced potatoes with melted butter and Lipton Onion Soup mix until well-coated.
  4. If using cheese, stir in shredded cheddar with the seasoned potatoes.
  5. Layer the seasoned potatoes into the slow cooker and pour chicken broth or water over the top.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until tender. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper and serve hot.

Notes
