- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing only until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently until evenly distributed.
- Scoop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still puffy.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
