- Boil the linguine until al dente, drain, and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned and no pink remains, then drain excess fat.
- Stir in the sliced garlic and toast for about a minute, then add soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, ginger, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Stir until sugar dissolves.
- In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch with cold water until smooth. Pour into the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens.
- Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to coat them in the sauce. Let sit for a few minutes to absorb flavors.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.
