Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup sour cream or mayonnaise for a tangier twist
  • 2 Tablespoons dry Ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 piece Roma tomato seeds removed and finely diced
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup finely shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon cooked until very crisp and crumbled

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Hand mixer or sturdy spatula
  • Sharp knife and cutting board
  • Skillet for cooking bacon
  • 9-inch pie plate or shallow serving bowl
  • Paper towels

Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, Ranch seasoning, and garlic powder. Beat until smooth.
  2. Transfer the mixture into a 9-inch pie plate or shallow serving bowl and spread it evenly.
  3. Place the shredded lettuce around the edge of the dip, then sprinkle the diced tomatoes over the mixture.
  4. Shower the shredded cheddar cheese and top with remaining crumbled bacon.
  5. Serve immediately or refrigerate for 30 minutes to let flavors meld.
