Ingredients
  

  • 1 box Ritz crackers about 48 crackers for 24 sandwiches
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika (smoked paprika is recommended)
  • 1 cup deli ham thinly sliced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese thinly sliced

Equipment

  • Medium mixing bowl
  • Spatula or hand mixer
  • Butter knife or small spreader
  • Large serving platter or tray

Method
 

  1. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, chives, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika; mix until smooth.
  2. Lay out half of the Ritz crackers on a clean surface, golden sides up.
  3. Spread a generous layer of cream cheese mixture onto each cracker.
  4. Layer on a small, folded piece of deli ham and a slice of cheddar cheese.
  5. Top with another Ritz cracker and gently press to create a sandwich.
  6. Arrange the sandwiches on a serving platter and serve immediately or refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
