Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices white bread or pain de mie
  • 100 g smoked salmon
  • 100 g Boursin cheese or herbed cream cheese
  • 2 slices melting cheese like Gruyère or Swiss
  • 1 tablespoon butter for toasting

Method
 

  1. Spread a generous layer of Boursin cheese on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Lay a slice of smoked salmon on top of the Boursin layer of two pieces of bread.
  3. Place a slice of melting cheese on top of the salmon.
  4. Cover each prepared slice with another piece of bread, Boursin-side down, and press gently to seal.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of butter.
  6. Cook the sandwiches for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
