  • 200 milliliters liquid cream
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon mustard

Method
 

  1. Place a medium saucepan over low heat and pour in the liquid cream, warming it until small bubbles appear at the edges, without boiling.
  2. Gradually add the grated cheddar cheese while stirring constantly with a whisk until fully incorporated and smooth.
  3. Stir in the mustard and paprika, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Let the mixture simmer for a minute.
  4. Allow the sauce to bubble gently for another minute or two before removing it from the heat.
