Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices white sandwich bread
  • 100 g smoked salmon
  • 100 g Boursin cheese or herbed cream cheese
  • 2 slices melting cheese like Gruyère or Emmental
  • 1 tablespoon butter for toasting

Method
 

  1. Spread a generous layer of Boursin cheese on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Lay a piece of smoked salmon on two of the cheese-covered slices.
  3. Place a slice of melting cheese on top of the salmon.
  4. Cover each prepared slice with another piece of bread, cheese-side down, and press gently to seal.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat, add butter, and place sandwiches in the pan.
  6. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Transfer to a plate, cut in half diagonally, and serve immediately.
