Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 10 oz bowtie farfalle pasta
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional) for extra heat
  • to taste Salt and black pepper
  • 3/4 cup beef broth
  • 4 oz cream cheese, cubed and softened
  • 8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk or heavy cream
  • to taste Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped for garnish

  • Large skillet for browning the beef and making the sauce

Method
 

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the bowtie pasta; cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat; add the ground beef and diced onion, cooking until browned and the onion is soft.
  3. Add the minced garlic, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper to the skillet; cook for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Pour in beef broth and milk; reduce heat to low, and add cream cheese and Velveeta, stirring until melted and smooth.
  5. Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat in the creamy sauce.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley or chopped green onions, serve hot, and enjoy.
