Ingredients

  • 500 g boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 piece red chili pepper thinly sliced
  • to taste fresh cilantro for garnish
  • as needed cooked white rice to serve

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Skillet or Frying Pan
  • Tongs
  • Spatula
  • Cooking Spoon

Method

  1. In a large bowl, mix together soy sauce, honey, sriracha, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and lime juice for the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they’re fully coated. Cover the bowl and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken, reserving the leftover marinade, and cook for 5–7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Lower the heat to medium and pour the reserved marinade into the pan. Stir continuously as it thickens, about 5 minutes.
  5. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot over steaming white rice.
