Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lbs sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into thin strips
  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 4 tbsp butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes adjust for heat
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • to taste Salt and black pepper
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Equipment

  • Large pot for boiling pasta
  • Large skillet for cooking the steak and making the sauce
  • Wooden spoon or spatula for stirring
  • Whisk for mixing the sauce
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method
 

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tbsp butter. Add the steak strips, Cajun seasoning, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned, about 4-6 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tbsp butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream. Simmer gently for 2 minutes, then whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add the cooked linguine and steak strips back into the skillet. Toss well to coat everything in the creamy garlic butter Parmesan sauce.
  6. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and extra Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately.
