Turtle Chocolate Cake

Ingredients
  

  • 8 hot dogs your favorite brand
  • 8 hot dog buns
  • 1 can chili (15 oz) or 2 cups leftover homemade chili
  • 1/2 onion finely diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup stone ground mustard
  • 1/4 cup dill relish

Equipment

  • 9x13 inch baking dish or pan
  • Aluminum foil
  • Spatula (wide and flexible)
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method
 

  1. Open the hot dog buns, spread mayonnaise inside, and add stone ground mustard and dill relish.
  2. Nestle a hot dog into each bun and place them in a 9x13 baking pan.
  3. Spoon warm chili over each hot dog and sprinkle with diced onion and shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F, cover the pan with aluminum foil, and bake for 45 minutes.
  5. Let the hot dogs sit for 5 minutes after baking, then serve with forks and knives.
