Method
 

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine softened butter and grated Parmesan cheese; mix until smooth.
  2. Spread the cheese mixture generously over one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Heat a large non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  4. Place the bread slices cheese-side down onto the hot surface and cook for 2 to 4 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Flip the bread and briefly warm the other side, if desired.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy while hot.
