Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced Provolone cheese (about 4 slices)
  • 1/4 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley optional, for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375F (190C).
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry and season them with garlic powder, salt, and pepper on both sides.
  3. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat with 1-2 tablespoons of oil.
  4. Place the chicken in the skillet and cook each side for 6-7 minutes until golden brown.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the shredded Parmesan cheese, Panko breadcrumbs, and melted butter until crumbly.
  6. Top each chicken breast with a slice of Provolone cheese and spread the Parmesan-Panko mixture evenly over it, pressing gently.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 5-7 minutes until the cheese melts and the crust turns golden.
  8. Optional: Broil for 1-2 minutes for an extra crispy top.
  9. Let the chicken rest briefly, then sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired.
