- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 450°F) if using gas; for charcoal, light and let coals burn until covered with white ash.
- Rub each steak with olive oil and season generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- Let the steaks sit at room temperature for 20–30 minutes.
- Place the steaks on the hot grill and cook for 4–5 minutes per side for medium-rare, flipping only once.
- Transfer the steaks to a cutting board and let them rest for 5–10 minutes.
