Ingredients
  

  • 3-4 pounds beef brisket
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce homemade or store-bought
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Method
 

  1. Pat the brisket dry with paper towels and rub both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Let sit for 15 minutes.
  2. (Optional) In a hot skillet, sear the brisket for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. Place the brisket in the slow cooker, add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, and spread half the BBQ sauce over the top. Cover and set the slow cooker to low.
  4. Cook the brisket on low for 8-10 hours or high for 6-8 hours, basting halfway through.
